LCCMF Young Artists Program

The Festival’s Young Artists Program is an opportunity for young professional musicians to be in residence during the summer Festival. These artists then return during the following season for performances, community workshops, and to work with the ONE Strings students at Burlington’s Integrated Arts Academy @ H.O. Wheeler School. During the Festival, members of the program rehearse and perform with Festival musicians and rehearse and record our Young Composers’ works. They prepare a piece for performance, coached by Festival artists. In addition, they make their first visit to IAA and meet with arts leaders in the Burlington area. There are also opportunities to shadow Festival artists during the week and to engage with audience members and donors at a number of different events.

These players are selected because, in our view, they are the next generation of leaders in the music world.
