MOZARTIANA
Dear Friends,
We invite you to our 17th Lake Champlain Chamber Music Festival, Mozartiana: The Creative Phenomenon!
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart remains one of the most inexplicable artistic talents in human history. His music, often described as inevitable as the rhythms of nature itself, seems to have flowed from a divine source. Mozart’s irresistible melodies, perfect proportions, and inspired variations all emerge gracefully without effort.
During the festival week, we’ll explore Mozart’s genius through the voices of other composers who revered him and shared some of his remarkable gifts. Tchaikovsky, who paid homage in his orchestral suite Mozartiana, joins a fascinating lineup that includes Ravel, Schubert, Messiaen, and others whose music reflects Mozart’s spirit in various ways.
Alongside our many concerts, we’ll offer our full LCCMF menu of Inside Pitch discussions, masterclasses, composer recordings, and more.
Please join us as we dive into the mystery and magic of Mozart—truly a creative phenomenon.
