Made possible with generous gifts from the Fountain Fund and NorthCountry.

Although the Burlington-Chittenden County population has become increasingly diverse over the last decade, the same cannot be said for classical music audiences in our community.

Our board and staff are committed to the goal of increasing the economic and cultural diversity of the LCCMF audience. We hope to encourage low-income families and individuals from Chittenden County’s ethnically-diverse and immigrant populations to experience our Festival first-hand.

We are aware of the need to minimize barriers to participating in chamber music concerts. These barriers include affordability, transportation to the venue, norms of concert behavior, and inexperience with the genre.

To stimulate diversity, we would like your help in overcoming these barriers.

  • Consider becoming a mentor to a new audience member(s) by inviting them to a concert; sharing a meal; talking before and/or after the concert to enhance everyone’s experience.
  • Give us your input on ways to develop and strengthen this program in the coming years.
  • For complementary tickets for new audience members, contact Executive Director Jody Woos (802-846-2175) or any LCCMF board member. Click here for a list of current board members.
