Schubert’s divine cello quintet, his final instrumental chamber work, is universally considered among the crown jewels of the chamber music repertoire. For our performance, the Schubert sits opposite an arrangement for soprano and piano of the final work of Richard Strauss’s long and productive career, his Four Last Songs.
