We are living through a period of an explosion of music–captured and shaped with the help of computers–shared online in a quarantine-accelerated media environment. Though it seems like every day there is some new application of technology in music (as well as dozens of “Hollywood Squares/Bradybunch” videos), the history of technology and music goes back to the very beginning of human musical expression–perhaps before spoken language, itself.
Join LCCMF Resident Composer David Serkin Ludwig in a presentation on the fascinating and inextricably linked history of music and technology. We will explore how the intersection of world-class musical performance with today’s technology is transforming both the teaching of music and the concert experience, itself.
