Mainstage Concert 1: Last Songs

Elley-Long Music Center at St. Michael’s College 223 Ethan Allen Avenue, Colchester

LAST SONGS opens with a charming Beethoven string trio written during his early years and ends with Richard Strauss' final piece, Four Last Songs. This concert features Soovin Kim, Jessica Bodner, and Marcy Rosen playing the trio, and Arianna Zukerman and Gloria Chien performing the Strauss.

Mainstage Concert 2: Swan Song

Elley-Long Music Center at St. Michael’s College 223 Ethan Allen Avenue, Colchester

SWAN SONG combines a contemporary string quartet by prolific composer Adolphus Hailstock with the unforgettable Schubert cello quintet. The Parker Quartet and Marcy Rosen perform.

Resident Ensemble Masterclass 1

Elley-Long Music Center at St. Michael’s College 223 Ethan Allen Avenue, Colchester

The 2021 LCCMF Resident Ensemble consists of four wonderful string players from the New England Conservatory. In this event, they work with master teacher cellist Marcy Rosen on the first two movements of Bartok's first string quartet.

Artist Spotlight: Parker Quartet

All Souls Interfaith Gathering 291 Bostwick Farm Road, Shelburne, VT

This hour-long recital will feature the Grammy Award-winning Parker Quartet in two diametrically opposed works: Schumann’s genial second quartet and Smetana’s stormy autobiographical first quartet.

This recital features two exceptional soloists, Bella Hristova on violin and Clancy Newman on cello, performing new works for their instruments. FLUX Quartet will perform Canadian composer R. Murray Shafer's Rosalind Quartet.
