The Lake Champlain Chamber Music Festival is the creation of Soovin Kim, Artistic Director. An exploratory committee was formed in the spring of 2008 and trial concerts were performed in May and August of 2008 and January of 2009. An initial Board of Directors raised enough money to cover all of the expenses for the first Festival in 2009. The first Festival took place at the end of August, 2009. Ticket proceeds from that festival will be used to offset costs of the 2010 Festival. The Board is currently raising the additional money needed to cover the costs associated with the 2010 Festival which will take place from August 22–29, 2010 at the Elley-Long Music Center at St. Michael's College.
