The sensational, conductorless East Coast Chamber Orchestra (ECCO) opens the 2010 LCCMF with soloist Soovin Kim.

The superb individual members of ECCO demonstrate their versatility in a program of widely varied chamber works.
An Evening in Russia
Friday, August 27 at 7:30 P.M.
- Shostakovich Piano Trio in E minor, Opus 67
- Eisenstein The Battleship Potemkin
Pianist Ignat Solzhenitsyn and cellist Colin Carr join Soovin Kim in a performance of one of Shostakovich’s dramatic and shattering works. This is followed by a screening of Eisenstein’s silent film masterpiece with the musical score improvised by pianist Matan Porat.
Master Class Saturday and the Virtuoso Showcase
Saturday, August 28 at 1 P.M.
Join Festival Musicians as they display their individual instrumental brilliance in short, virtuosic solo works. This brief program will be packed with excitement!
Festival Closing Concert
Sunday, August 29 at 3 P.M.
- Brahms Liebeslieder Waltzes for piano four hands
- Ligeti Horn Trio
- Beethoven Piano Trio in B-flat major, Opus 97 “Archduke”
Renowned hornist Eric Ruske joins Kim, Carr, Solzhenitsyn and Porat in a program of György Ligeti’s great horn trio flanked by sublime works by two Viennese masters.
